Are you a fan of cars and travel? Look no further because so are we. This blog is dedicated to bringing wanderlust types the best info on what roads to drive, what cars to do it in and where to stop, stock up and refuel. Pretty lofty goals but that's just how we roll. We'll be doing our best to bring you amazing features starring our favorite cars and destinations from all over the world. We encourage you to come along for the ride and join in on the conversation. About me/us: Destination: Elsewhere was founded to combine my two (or four) passions into one: travel and cars. Basically I can't think of a better way to get away than to hop in the car with the only goal of finding some great roads and hopefully a decent place to eat along the way. The idea for this began back when I first got my drivers license, though I didn't know it. Like any car guy I spent most of my time enjoying my new found freedom hunting down the best roads $20 dollars worth of gas could get me. With my first job I expanded through the northeast. But what really did it was an exchange year in Germany. In the land of the autobahn I discovered speed, the art of long distance travel, and how even a good mountain road could make the most mundane diesel Volvo station wagon a vessel of splendor. With knowledgeable locals as my guide I had the chance to snack on some of the freshest bambi venison ever and washed it down with some German purity law approved beer and set off again. Over the course of a year I had the chance to travel through Austria, Lichtenstein, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands and even had the chance to sample the roads around the famed Nürburgring. I know not that cool. Long story short is, this is what we do. Eat, drink, sleep and drive.
